Photography Workshop
“Maine Lighthouses & Lobster Shacks". June 21st - June 26th 2025
Join two professional photographers, Maureen Gates & Dan Goldman for an immersive and exciting photography workshop in both Portland, Maine and the picturesque seashore Baileys Island. Maine’s autumnal colors abound as we move from one location to the other. Whether you’re capturing the bustling energy of Portland’s lobstermen and harbor or the picturesque Baileys Islands’ natural beauty, you’ll leave with a portfolio of beautiful images and memories.
This workshop is designed for photographers of all levels who are looking to enhance their skills while exploring the unique charm of the Maines coastline.
During our time together, everyone will receive hands-on instruction covering everything from the basics of composition and lighting to advanced landscape and portrait photography techniques. We will visit scenic locations like Portland Head Lighthouse at sunrise, and coastal seascape villages at sunset. During evenings you may participate in interactive sessions covering editing and post-processing techniques, and critique, all within a close-knit group of fellow enthusiasts.

We find the accommodations and suggest you stay there. You book your room and pay for meals. We will arrange meeting rooms for classroom instruction when part of the workshop.
Cancellation or Changes
Dan Goldman Photography will make every attempt to operate a photo adventure once confirmed, but will reserve the right to cancel or change a trip at any time, due to insufficient bookings, and/or reasons beyond his control, such as; strikes, war, acts of God, acts of government, civil unrest or any other cause whatsoever, that may make operation of the workshop impossible, illegal or inadvisable. All tour payments received will be promptly refunded, and this refund will be the limit of our liability.
Workshops Payment policy
The workshop fee is for instruction only. All other expenses, including transportation, accommodations and meals are the responsibility of the participant. A 50% deposit is required to confirm your registration after receiving your registration forms. The full balance is due 30 days prior to the start of the workshop.
Cancellation policy
Deposit and balance paid will be fully refunded if cancellation is made prior to 60 days before the workshop start date. No refunds will be given if cancellation is made less than 60 days before the workshop start date unless we are able to fill the slot vacated, in which case we will refund the entire amount paid less $150 for accounting costs. Dan Goldman Photography advises trip insurance for any Workshop.
Cost: $1,200.00
Spouse’s and partners are welcome to join, no workshop fee charged. They will be responsible for their meals and any additional sleeping accommodations.
